Well, after a short-term almost a year yesterday I finally received my new bauble: a GoPro HD 1080.
After much consideration I decided to buy it naked because the package already included inside the shell water resistant to 60 meters and the hooks necessary to my needs.
I then "constrict" my kit, purchased separately for the lens focus underwater, the head strap for mounting on the head and chest chesty for Mount chest.
From the first tests at home I was immediately very satisfied: extremely comfortable, light weight, simplicity and feeling of great strength ... but needed the test in the field!
So here now I'm back in the cockpit where the creek chub are some still active despite the cold water and managed to shoot a good video that will post later, renewing well as a mini stick built from 45 mm to fly home for my ad hoc needs of fishing in river with water flow strong.
Some technical details which I think is helpful to clarify for those who want to give the same purpose:
The camera creates movies to mp4 format is not easy to handle but simply a shift in After Effects and then converting to Avi made in premiere all the fittings necessary ...
The maximum resolution with a 170 ° field of view is 1280x960 pixels (4:3) at 30 fps is oriented with the included lithium battery (charging from PC via USB) you can do 2 hours and 30 minutes of video and it serves about 16 gb sdhc. One minor
Video editing.
I'm not a professional video editing, but for my work as an architect I often work with the entire suite, including Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
In this case I found myself faced with a particular video format a bit and since I had the need to move in after effects, I decided to open the file directly to 1280x960 native GoPro in premiere.
I then set an initial size of the composition "at random" (as 1280x960 at 30 fps is not included in the presets), and thereafter opened the program, I went to file, new, sequence, and then I moved to a folder right selecting the drop down menu "desktop" and then I set the composition personalized 1280x 960 at 29.97 fps, square pixels.
In this way I earned it UnQuadro is accurate for the size of the acquired form of the room.
As regards the export I tried to make a stretch to upload the video on vimeo hd no black lines at the edges, then choose H.264 - vimeo hd 1280x720 preset crushing a little but I think the composition is not so evil.
The problem was that excessive compression of the image had taken me to get a video where the quality was degraded, and then I'm back on my feet and H.264 setting - taking a preset (youtube HD) and customizing it in its native format.
Below here is the video, click to view in HD on HD and displays it on vimeo.

I'm really happy with your purchase, a fun object that allows us to review those scenes of fishing that would otherwise remain only in our minds.
